Automatic Knife Opening Acknowledgement (AKOA)
Because automatic opening knives are regulated under U.S. federal law and may also be regulated by state and local law, Art Brown International requires customers to review and agree to the following before purchasing, receiving, or requesting service (including sharpening, warranty, or repair) for any automatic opening knife.
By proceeding, you acknowledge and agree that federal law generally restricts interstate shipment of automatic knives, except in specific circumstances. You certify that your purchase, receipt, or service request qualifies under one or more of the following categories:
Eligibility Categories
You certify that you are eligible because you fall into at least one of the following:
-Federal Government Use
You are a civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officer or employee of the United States Government, and you are purchasing or receiving this knife in connection with official government activities.
-Active Duty Armed Forces
You are an active member of the Armed Forces or a government employee acting in the performance of your official duties.
-National Guard or Militia
You are a supply or procurement officer or employee of the National Guard, Air National Guard, or a state militia, and the purchase or service is in connection with official activities of that organization.
-State or Local Government
You are a supply or procurement officer or employee of a state, territory, the District of Columbia, or any county, city, or other political subdivision, and the purchase or service is in connection with official government activities.
-Authorized Industry or Dealer Use
You are a manufacturer of automatic knives or a bona fide dealer, and the purchase or service is being made in connection with an order from, or business with, one of the entities described in categories 1 through 4 above.
Buyer Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
-It is your responsibility to know and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding the purchase, possession, shipment, carry, and use of automatic knives.
-Laws vary by jurisdiction and may change.
-Art Brown International does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that any -product is legal for you in your location or for your intended use.
Right to Refuse, Cancel, or Refund
You understand and agree that:
-Art Brown International reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or refund any order or service request at any time if, in our sole judgment, fulfilling it may violate applicable laws, regulations, carrier policies, or internal compliance requirements.
-The availability of an automatic knife for sale or service does not constitute a representation that it is legal for you to purchase, possess, or receive it in your jurisdiction.
Acknowledgement and Certification
By proceeding with this purchase or service request, you certify that:

-You meet at least one of the eligibility categories listed above
-You are acting in compliance with all applicable laws
-You understand that your order or service request may be canceled and refunded if it cannot be fulfilled lawfully
