Refilling your S.T. Dupont Defi Multifunction pen is a simple process that can be accomplished in a few easy steps.
To access the refill cartridges, hold the grip of the pen and side the barrel off. Firmly hold onto the black part that holds the eraser and twist to remove the mechanism from the rest of the pen. To replace the ink cartridge, hold on to the brass cartridge holder, pull out the refill, and put a new one in it's place.
To replace the lead, you will first need to remove the spring mechanism. Grab hold of the brass cartridge holder and pull off the mechanism to access the lead. It is crucial that you grab the spring mechanism below the spring, otherwise you risk damaging it. Once the spring mechanism is removed, you can refill the pencil with no more than 2 or 3 pieces of lead. Replace the spring mechanism and close up the pen. Reassemble the barrel, ensuring both refills extend properly. And just like that, your Defi Multifunction pen is ready for action again.
